Bonjour tout le monde !

I’m Samara and welcome to my blog for the Starving Artist, following my year-long Working Holiday in France !

It has already been almost seven months since I arrived, which happened to be just four days before the country locked down. It was obviously not the best year to do a working holiday, but itw as a choice between being lockdown in France for months, or not seeing my boyfriend, Camille (who is French), for over a year. There’s no question that I made the right decision!

So, considering I was lucky enough to be one of the very few Australians who were able to journey overseas this year, I will take you along on my adventures and day-to-day life, so that all of you back home can get a taste of France from my writing. I will be writing about trips I’ve been on and go on in the future, the people I meet, culture and, of course, the food. Be honest, that’s the main reason we travel, right?

I hope you all enjoy the little insights into my travels in the time of Covid-19 and get some inspiration for future trips, or at least you can enjoy the read.
